Walmart Makes Me Happy

Today I placed an order with Walmart and asked for delivery.  Perfect.

I checked the status of my delivery.  One minute.  One long minute I'd say.  I thought about being at the door but I didn't want to deal with them.  Finally the screen said "delivered," so I went out to bring in the groceries.  It had been a pretty large order, but not as much as you might think $400 should buy you.

I was disappointed to see that, although I have a front porch, and plus it's been a rainy day, the perfect place to the Twinkie that made the delivery was out in the yard.  Around 20 feet.  ???  Why?

Over the next 45 minutes I brought in the groceries.  When it rains it makes my legs hurt more, and with nothing on the porch, it was necessary to climb the stairs several times.  Way way out was the water - Sam's water.  Two cases, around thirty lbs each.  They're still out there and probably will be for a while.  I had fantasized about the nice delivery person going crazy and bringing them in for me.  Nope.  They won't be coming in today.

I decided to take a break and went and laid down for a few minutes, feeling unhappy.  I had left what seemed to me to be a generous tip.  OK.  I'm calling Walmart.  I decided, no!  No tip this time.   I hesitated about complaining.  Kylie might get fired.  But then, Kylie needed to do better and maybe she would.

After a few automated minutes on the 800 number I was finally about to connect to a person.  I wanted them to tell Kylie not to put things in mud puddles and I'm taking back the tip to buy myself candy bars with.  Soon I was talking to someone far far away, maybe India.   I love it when I talk to people in exotic places.

All I said was that my groceries were left out in the yard and it was raining.  They immediately issued me a full refund for my order.  This makes me incredibly happy.
